Project Change - Event Two: Places
Benefiting: Rose Brooks Center

On Thursday, March 25th, a group of Wagner Employees made a trip to the Rose Brooks Center, a shelter for abused women where we were stationed at “Rosie’s Closet” the place where homeless women come in to shop (with tokens earned at the shelter) for new clothes, shoes, accessories & toiletries. We sorted through donations, taking out all winter clothes (which goes to Goodwill) and men’s and keeping women’s & children’s clothes to be stocked at Rosie’s. Some of our teammates were inside the closet rearranging the clothes on the shelves while the guys helped Joanie upstairs clean the cafeteria for a Women’s Month Presentation that evening. We chose Rose Brooks because to us this is a “place” of solace, a place of reflection and a place to start anew for so many women & children that are victims of violence in our city. We hope to have helped in a very small way!
