It was a cold, winters’ morning when members of Black Bamboo fanned out across the city to participate in the Homeless Services Coalition’s annual survey. Many lessons were learned that day by our members, not the least of which is that climate is indifferent to social circumstance. The survey was designed to take a snapshot of homelessness, a trickier exercise than anticipated. Team members reported to 3 of the 4 base stations around the city and were deployed to their respective assignments. We are hopeful our efforts helped the coalition achieve their objective. |
